REGISTRATION AND CANCELLATION INFORMATION
Your privacy is important to us. We collect your mailing and billing information to process your registration requests and payments. We do not share or sell any part of your personal information that you provide to us.
When Should I Register
As soon as possible, our classes are small and fill quickly, we recommend you register as soon as possible to get you class choice.
How to Register
There are three ways for your convenience.
· You may register and pay online at www.rcas.gosignmeup.com. A $2.00 fee will be charged to all online payments. This fee covers the additional credit card processing fees for online transactions.
· Mail your completed registration form and payment (check or cash) to: RCAS Staff Development Office, 300 6th Street, Rapid City, SD 57701
· Hand deliver registration form and payment (check or cash) to City School Administration Center, 300 6th Street, Rapid City, Office of Staff Development, 3rd Floor.
Courses and trainings are offered for several types of credit through RCAS and our partner universities. Fees and tuition rates are listed with each class description. For courses requiring fees, payment is due in full at the time of registration. Courses offered for credit require a fee of $50.00/hour registration fee.
Undergraduate and Graduate credit is available for select courses for an additional fee. The cost per credit is determined by the university and ranges in price from $40.00 - $45.00 per credit hour.
Audit (no reason), Continuing Education Contact Hours (CEUs), and Career Enhancement Hours (CE) for RCAS classified employees. These credits are included with the registration fee is applicable. Upon successful completion of the course, certificates will be issued.
You will receive a confirmation notice by email confirming your enrollment in the class.
RCAS Course Cancellations
Classes without a minimum number of registrations may be cancelled by the Office of Staff Development. Registered students will be given the opportunity to enroll in another course, with no transfer penalty. A full refund will be given to students who do not wish to transfer.
Cancellation by Student
Cancellation must be made in writing and received by the RCAS Office of Staff Development within 10 business days prior to the start of the class to insure a full refund (minus the online processing fee if applicable) .
Cancellations Due To Weather
When the Rapid City Area Schools (RCAS) are closed due to inclement weather, Professional Growth classes are also cancelled.
Material/Book Fee for a Class
Some courses have additional fees which are described in the course description. This fee is to be included with the tuition amount.
Lane Change/Salary Adjustment
Classes must be taken for graduate credit to be eligible for RCAS lane change or salary adjustments. Continuing education hours are not eligible. All RCAS employees requesting approval of courses that are not offered through RCAS which have salary implications must submit those courses or related in-service courses for approval to the RCAS Office of Staff Development/Human Resources.
